Job Summary and Qualifications

The Special Procedures Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing treatments and procedures in Endoscopy and the Special Procedures unit.

  • You will collect specimens for testing.
  • You will assist the physician during the procedure. You will maintain and stock the Special Procedure area.
  • You will be a resource for Surgical Scheduling relative to bookings.
  • You will provide relevant and complete documentation on patient-related activity.
  • You will educate patients and families related to procedures, medications, and follow-up home care.
  • You will assume responsibility to stay current with available training and/or literature to ensure quality patient care in Special Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A Registered Nurse license in a compact state as defined by the NH Board of Nursing is required.
  • Minimum one year of medical/surgical nursing required. ICU, Special Procedures/Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
  • Phlebotomy trained.
  • Working knowledge of underlying principles and standards for the following entities: CDC, CMS.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress work environment.
