Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Solid Organ Transplant Unit (SOTU) in Omaha. This unit is Nebraska’s only solid organ transplant facility, providing complex care to patients in a high-impact environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing, effective communication skills, and a current RN license. Candidates will benefit from competitive compensation including retirement match, PTO accrual, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or current compact state license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months of hire or transfer date.

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers.
• Meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients.
• Work in various environments including long term, emergent, critical, acute.
