Job summary

Lakeland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants, in accordance with regulations and the Director of Nursing.

The RN will prepare and administer medications, maintain records, lead shift activities, and coordinate care with other departments to ensure high-quality, compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices & procedures, as well as laws and guidelines for nursing care facilities.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of our nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Complete and file required record-keeping forms/charts; chart nurse notes and report to Director.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain a warm, calm environment and coordinate with inter-departmental staff.
• Monitor safety and confidentiality of resident care information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
