Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, TX is hiring an RN for the Skilled Nursing Unit to provide patient-centered care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with an interdisciplinary team, following physician orders and clinical protocols.

The role requires 0–2 years of nursing experience in acute care or student rotations, a valid RN license, and BLS. Telemetry knowledge and strong communication skills are a plus as you support safe, compassionate patient

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN license required; BLS required.
• Cardiac care experience or Telemetry knowledge is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered nursing care in accordance with policies and nursing process.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings; report changes to the care team.
• Administer medications, monitor effects, and document administration.
• Collaborate with physicians and health-care professionals to implement and evaluate care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and discharge care.
• Maintain infection control practices and safety standards.
• Document care thoroughly in the medical record; participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Telemetry monitoring: track heart rhythms and report significant changes.
