Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, TX is seeking an RN for the Skilled Nursing Unit nights to deliver patient-centered care, coordinate assessments, and manage treatment plans. This role focuses on telemetry monitoring and collaborative care with the interdisciplinary team.

The position requires RN licensure and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred. You will participate in emergencies, provide education to patients and families, and ensure adherence to clinical protocols on a busy unit.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure in the U.S. or Compact State required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and/or PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team for care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR/code team.
• Maintain infection control and safe patient environment.
• Document patient care thoroughly in the medical record.
• Telemetry duties: track heart rhythms and vital signs as needed.
