Job Summary

In this role, you will coordinate patient care and deliver nursing services in a fast-paced medical environment. You will work under the supervision of practice providers, providing guidance to Medical Assistants and LPNs when necessary. The ideal candidate demonstrates both independence and teamwork while delivering compassionate care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and record vital signs accurately.
  • Interact with patients to prepare them for visits with providers.
  • Take detailed notes and review medical records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Communicate clearly with patients regarding examinations, procedures, and tests.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper preparation of equipment and supplies.
  • Complete diagnostic request forms and schedule tests and appointments.
  • Execute medical orders for medications, treatments, and diagnostics.
  • Administer medications and document administrations properly.
  • Educate patients on preventative health measures.
  • Guide and lead non-clinical staff on clinical issues, such as phone triage.
  • Coordinate patient care, utilizing specialized judgment and skills in a medical/surgical setting.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Associate of Nursing (Required)
  • Bachelor of Nursing (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications:

  • New York RN license (Required)
  • BLS certification (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (Preferred)
