Job summary

Avera Sacred Heart Hospital is seeking registered nurses to provide high-quality care on rotating shifts including nights and weekends. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess patient needs, administer medications, and educate patients and families on treatment plans.

This role emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and adherence to infection-control policies while delivering comprehensive nursing services to patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the specified hours (7pm-7am, 7am-7pm) and weekend/holiday rotations.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the care plan to the health care team.
• Develops nursing care plans by assessing patients and documenting their condition and needs.
• Teaches patients and families about care requirements and self-care.
• Evaluates patient care by monitoring outcomes and adjusting plans as needed.
• Maintains safety by following infection-control policies and medication handling procedures.
• Documents patient care in charts and records.
• Keeps equipment and supplies ready and in good working order.
