Job summary

Vitruvian Health in the northwest Georgia and southeast Tennessee region is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse. Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Nursing Supervisor, you will provide nursing care in the ICU for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, delivering care based on patient needs.

You will plan, supervise, and evaluate the nursing care, align with the medical plan of care and hospital policies, and support a collaborative, patient‑centered team.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing; Diploma preferred.
• Two years of hospital or medical environment experience preferred.
• Tennessee or Compact State RN license required; BLS and ACLS required; ACLS within 30 days if not certified on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide ICU nursing care for adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
• Plan, supervise and evaluate nursing care; coordinate with the medical plan of care.
• Instruct staff, demonstrate cooperation, flexibility and resourcefulness.
• Maintain adherence to hospital policies and collaborate with physicians and staff.

The ICU Registered Nurse, under supervision of the Nurse Manager and the Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the nursing care of the patients in the Intensive Care Unit and is responsible for the direction of patient care. The RN delivers care based on patient needs appropriate for the adolescent, adults, and geriatric patients. He/she demonstrates an interest in patient centered approach to total nursing care. Supervisors instruct staff in the department. Demonstrates cooperation, flexibility, and resourcefulness when dealing with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. The RN shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of patients and for correlating the nursing process, the medical plan of care and policies.

Education:Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure. Diploma preferred.

Experience:Two years of experience in a hospital or medical environment is preferred.

Licenses/Certificates:Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required. Current BLS and ACLS required. If not ACLS certified on hire, must acquire within 30 days.
