Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas, seeks a Seasonal Registered Nurse to support patient care and care coordination across units. You will assess patient needs, develop care plans, and ensure safe environments while collaborating with families and the care team.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license, have 1+ year of nursing experience, and can obtain BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Degree from a recognized nursing program or 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
• Ability to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments following practice standards.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans; adjust as needed.
• Create a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, families and staff.
• Manage patient pain and monitor recovery to prevent complications.

Job Summary

As a Seasonal RN, you align with our nursing model, manage patient care, evaluate, recognize, create, implement care plans. Monitor patient progress is also vital. Your knowledge will help patients navigate the healthcare system safely, reducing complications. You will use your expertise to understand patient needs and the healthcare environment.

Essential Functions Of The Role

• Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
• Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
• Creating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
• Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.
