Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Florida is seeking a Seasonal RN to support pre-op and post-op cardiovascular care for patients moving to the Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology lab, and CV Operating Room. The unit operates with a 1:3 RN to patient ratio and 1:7 for PCTs, emphasizing high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of RN experience with cardiovascular care exposure and must hold a registered nurse license.

Qualifications

• Prefer minimum 2 years RN experience with cardiovascular care exposure.
• Registered Nurse license required.
• Ability to obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments following standards.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans.
• Create safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
• Support patients to navigate the healthcare system safely.

As a Seasonal RN, you align with our nursing model, manage patient care, evaluate, recognize, create, implement care plans. Monitor patient progress is also vital. Your knowledge will help patients navigate the healthcare system safely, reducing complications. You will use your expertise to understand patient needs and the healthcare environment.

• Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
• Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
• Creating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
• Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience
• Experience Required: Prefer minimum 2 years RN experience, must have cardiovascular care experience.
• A valid Registered Nurse license
• The ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.
