Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple in Texas is seeking experienced Labor and Delivery nurses for full-time seasonal 13-week contracts. The role offers day and night shifts with a completion bonus of $1500 and a 36-hour work week.

As a Seasonal RN in Labor & Delivery, you will assess and manage patient care, develop care plans, and coordinate with a high-acuity team. Requirements include an RN license and nursing degree, plus BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience.
• A minimum of one year's experience in the field of nursing.
• A valid Registered Nurse license.
• The ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
• Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.
• Creating safe, therapeutic environments for patients, families, and staff.
• Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.
