Job summary

LEARN Schools and Programs in Southeast Connecticut is seeking compassionate Substitute Nurses (RNS) to support schools and programs across the LEARN district. You will provide direct student health services, respond to health needs, and collaborate with school teams, families, and related service providers.

This flexible role offers opportunities across diverse educational settings, while supporting students with a wide range of medical and health-related needs.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in CT required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• CPR certification required; training may be provided if needed.
• Experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct student health services and care across LEARN schools.
• Administer medications, treatments, and health procedures per orders and policies.
• Respond to health emergencies and implement emergency care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of health visits, medications, and communications.
• Collaborate with school administrators, families, and healthcare providers.
• Support students with chronic health conditions or special healthcare needs.
