The Staff Registered Nurse is responsible for managing and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process. The role may require floating to other units and participating in on-call status. This position requires population-specific competencies and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals based on patient contact level.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Oklahoma or a multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) member state.
• Current BLS certification upon hire, or completion within 30 days.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Department-specific competencies will be completed during orientation.

Additional requirements based on department:
Hospice Only: Current CPR (BLS acceptable). CHPN preferred.
Radiology Only: Current ACLS certification.
Employee Health: Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
INTEGRIS Mental Health: Ability to operate a company or personal vehicle, valid Oklahoma driver’s license, and acceptable driving record.
Emergency Department Only: PALS certification within 12 months, ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

The Staff RN's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assessment and reassessment
• Development and implementation of care plans
• Provision and evaluation of patient care interventions
• Supervision and coordination of licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Mentorship to staff and students

The RN reports to the manager, director, or vice president. Mental health staff must be capable of assisting with physical restraint using the Behavior Management Technique System. Additional physical and respiratory requirements may apply. Follow standard precautions to minimize exposure to infections, blood, body fluids, chemicals, and electrical hazards.
