Job summary

Terrebonne General Health System in Louisiana is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Resource Allocation Pool Plus. • Educate patients and families; identify and address emotional and psychosocial needs.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Identify and manage patient risks, including falls and skin breakdown.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures, including proper body mechanics.
• Complete documentation, shift reports, and assigned tasks accurately and on time.
• Prioritize multiple tasks and use time efficiently to deliver patient-centered care.

The Registered Nurse plans, implements, coordinates and evaluates nursing care for patients. This role participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing personnel and other patient team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
