Job summary

McLaren Lapeer Region in Michigan seeks a Graduate Nurse for direct patient care in the Nursing Admin department. The role follows the Michigan Nurse Practice Act, supports safety, privacy, and patient rights, and begins leadership and preceptor duties as performance allows.

Shift is Days, 7:00 am – 7:30 pm with 72 biweekly hours. Must have MI nursing license, BLS, ACLS/TNCC/ENPC within specified timelines, and 1 year of Med/Surg or ICU experience. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess valid State of Michigan Nursing License.
• One Year Med/Surg Nursing/One Year Critical Care Nursing or Equivalent two years total (current) hospital-based nursing experience.
• BLS certified.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC within 1 year of hire.
• ENPC within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs purposeful hourly rounding including: Pain, Position, Personal needs and Possessions
• Created the "always" experience for the patient and looks for ways to improve patient satisfaction
• Provides nursing care directly to patients in a calm and professional manner
