Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. seeks a professional nurse to deliver patient- and family-centered care using the nursing process.

The role emphasizes individualized care planning, collaboration with patients and families, and adherence to evidence-based practices while ensuring safety and high-quality care. You will work with diverse teams, develop and implement care plans, educate patients and families on treatments and discharge steps, and participate in safety and quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice and collaboration with each patient, family and/or designated care partner in care and care planning.
• Cultural awareness and ability to work with diverse backgrounds and connect effectively.
• Effective communication concepts and techniques to transmit, receive, and interpret patient needs.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and education for patients and care partners.
• Knowledge of health information documentation and accurate medical records.
• BLS and AHA/Red Cross certification requirements for registered nurses.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care; 2 years critical care preferred.

Responsibilities
