Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is recruiting for a Nurse Residency position designed to support the transition from student nurse to registered nurse. The program provides hands-on clinical experiences, mentorship from experienced nurses, and formal education sessions in a collaborative hospital setting.

The RN Resident will coordinate and deliver high-quality care, work with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in an evidence-based practice project as part of the annual residency.

Qualifications

• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS certification obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Other Certifications may be required during employment.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program.
• RN license or graduate nurse in the state.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transition from student nurse to registered nurse.
• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team.
• Document care and administration of medications in the patient record in a timely manner.
• Deliver compassionate care and respond promptly to patient requests.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, plan of care, and medications.
