Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital invites newly licensed nurses to join its Nurse Residency Program. The one-year program provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and structured learning to ease the transition from student nurse to registered nurse.

You will work within a supportive team of nurse educators and experienced nurses, delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care while completing a guided progression through clinical experiences and projects.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment
• RN licensure required in state of practice
• Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, report changes
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other required tasks as ordered by provider
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor therapeutic response
• Provide compassionate, patient‑centered care and respond to requests promptly
• Educate patients, families and caregivers about condition, treatment plan, medications and follow‑up steps
