Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking a RN Resident II as part of the HCA Healthcare Residency Program. This paid, year-long program provides hands-on experience and mentored learning as you transition from student nurse to registered nurse.

As a Resident II, you will work with experienced educators and nurses, participate in simulations, preceptorships, and a team-focused environment that emphasizes evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Other Certifications may be required during employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.
• Some travel may be needed for training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or functions as ordered by the provider.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response; notify provider if concerns arise.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, plans, and follow-up care, translating complex terms.
