Job summary

Mission Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, located in Asheville, NC, offers a year‑long RN Residency Program designed to bridge student nursing to registered practice.

As an RN Resident II you will train with nurse educators and experienced staff, participate in simulations, preceptorships, and an evidence‑based project.

You will provide patient‑centered care, assess conditions, administer meds, educate patients and families, with a strong focus on safety and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the provider; document care.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor response, and escalate as needed.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, plans and medications.
