Job summary

Mission Hospital, part of Mission Health in Asheville, NC, offers a year-long RN Residency Program to help new nurses gain hands-on experience and build clinical skills.

The program provides advanced training, monthly education, preceptorship, simulations, mentoring from nurse leaders, and a collaborative, evidence-based project.

As an RN Resident you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with the care team and prepare for licensure and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• BLS obtained within 30 days of employment.
• ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
• No previous experience needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift; report changes.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or functions as ordered; document care.
• Administer prescribed medications; monitor therapeutic response and notify provider as needed.
• Provide timely, compassionate care; respond to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
