Piedmont Atlanta Hospital offers a 12-month Nurse Residency program designed to transition new graduate nurses into professional practice with education, mentorship and peer support. The program combines precepted orientation with blended learning to build clinical judgment and communication with colleagues to support patients.

Opportunities are available in Acute Care across Post-Surgical/GI, Neurology, Orthopedics, Renal, Oncology and General Medical units, with a strong emphasis on quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• New graduates eligible.
• Current Georgia RN license and BLS CPR certification.
• BSN preferred.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Demonstrate leadership, effective communication, initiative and sound judgment.
• Coordinate patient care activities of assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.
• Support quality and safety initiatives and professional growth.
