Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is launching a 12-month Nurse Residency program to transition new graduates into professional practice. The program combines precepted orientation with blended learning and mentorship, focusing on clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork to improve patient safety and quality of care.

Opportunities span Post-Surgical/GI, Neurology, Orthopedics, Renal, Oncology, and General Medical units within Acute Care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program.
• New Graduates eligible.
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS CPR certification.
• BSN preferred.
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Staff Nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff to provide quality nursing care.
• Maintain standards of practice and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
