Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit focusing on renal transplant, urology, peritoneal dialysis, and related care. 36 hours weekly, Nights 7pm-7am, Temple, TX.

The unit provides specialized dialysis, catheter care, and post-transplant support with strong Magnet status and national recognition. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Active RN License.
• Minimum of 6 Months of RN experience.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Peritoneal Dialysis management.
• Epidural administration support.
• Continuous Bladder Irrigation care.
• Nephrostomy and Urostomy care.
• Complex urinary catheter insertions and care.
• Suprapubic catheter insertion and care.
• Fistula access.
• Opportunity to train in ultrasound guided IV insertion.

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX, is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our amazing Progressive Care Unit that focuses on Renal Transplant, Urology, Peritoneal Dialysis, Pulmonary HTN, and more. The Temple Memorial campus is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. It is one of eight nationally accredited Pulmonary Hypertension Centers in Texas.

Schedule: Full Time - 36 hours per week - Nights 7pm-7am

Unit Summary

STC 3 is a 35-bed monitored hospital unit that cares for a unique population of patients ranging from young adults to geriatrics. Our diverse patient population includes complex urology patients, pulmonary hypertension patients, kidney and pancreas transplant patients, peritoneal dialysis patients, and radioactive implant cases. STC 3 is the only unit in the hospital that performs peritoneal dialysis. STC 3 is the only floor equipped with lead-lined rooms to care for patients receiving radioactive therapies in the inpatient setting.

Requirements of the Ideal Candidate

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing
• ADN required; BSN preferred
• Active RN License
• Minimum of 6 Months of RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Qualifications

• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
