Job summary

Ohio's Hospice, Inc. is seeking an RN Regulatory Coordinator to manage HEAs, HOPE assessments, and SFV follow-ups in alignment with regulatory requirements.

The role supports timely information for patients and families and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure compliant documentation. The successful candidate will review clinical documentation for completeness, maintain regulatory timelines, and provide education to the Care Team for continuous improvement in hospice quality

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio with a BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years professional nursing experience; hospice experience preferred.
  • Experience in hospice, quality, regulatory compliance, clinical auditing, or related healthcare quality function preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Hospice Election Addendums (HEAs) process and reviews of HOPE assessments and SFV assessments.
  • Ensure HEA information is provided within regulatory timeframes and communicate with the Care Team.
  • Audit HOPE visit requirements and documentation for regulatory compliance.

Job Summary/Purpose

The RN Regulatory Coordinator is responsible for the management and completion of the Hospice ElectionAddendums (HEAs) process and reviews of missed Hospice Outcomes and Patient Evaluation (HOPE)assessments and Symptom Follow-Up Visit (SFV) assessments in accordance with applicable regulatoryrequirements and organizational policies.

The Regulatory Coordinator ensures that patients and families receive all required HEA information within therequired regulatory timeframes. The RN supports hospice quality and regulatory compliance by auditing HOPEvisit requirements and documentation and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members and admissionstaff to obtain, document, and communicate accurate, patient-specific information. The RN also promotes an exceptional patient and family experience throughout the HOPE assessment process and identifies andprovides educational and collaborative opportunities for the Care Team on an individual or group basis.

What You Should Know About the RN Regulatory Coordinator:
  • This is a full-time position, the hours are: 8:30AM-5:00PM.
  • This position is remote, but you must live in the state of Ohio and live in one of our regions to attend orientation. Those locations include Dayton, Wooster, Columbus, and Newark.
  • Oversees Repair & Maintenance, Culinary and Hospitality, as well as Ohio Department of Health requirements for the facilities.
  • Collaboration with colleagues required.

Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (BSN preferred) in the state of Ohio without any board actions.
  • Minimum of 2 years professional nursing experience; hospice experience preferred.
  • Experience in hospice, quality, regulatory compliance, clinical auditing, or a related healthcare qualityfunction preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hospice regulatory requirements, clinical documentation standards, andquality processes.
  • Experience reviewing clinical documentation and identifying missed, incomplete, or non-compliant assessments and follow-up requirements.
  • Strong communication, organization, critical-thinking, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working effectively in a remote/virtual environment and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s license (Safe Driving Record)
  • State minimum auto insurance
