**Registered Nurse (RN) WISH**
**Women’s & Infants’ Supplemental Help/Float Pool**
**Full-time**
_Maternal Level IV designated and Magnet facility is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?_
· **Work location:** Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104
· The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a **MAGNET** , and Texas 10-Step facility, has previously been named “Best Place to Have a Baby” and is a **Maternal Level IV designated facility**
· **Work hours:** Full Time Nights (6:45PM-7:15AM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements.
**Women’s & Infants’ Services Department highlights:**
· Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
· Will float to Labor & Delivery (LDR), Mother/Baby (couplet care), Neonatal ICU (NICU) and Antepartum
· 18-bed LDR's, 5-bay OB/ED, 5 triage rooms, 3 OR suites
· Average 275 + deliveries per month
· Wide range of patients and plan of care – water births, nitrous oxide, Midwifery and high-risk patients.
· 63-bed Level III NICU – will work with Level II infants
· 27-bed Mother/Baby, couplet care unit
**Here’s What You Need**
· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required
· BSN is preferred
· CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
· One (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program required.
· One (1) year or more of Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) setting RN experience strongly **preferred**
· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
· NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
**What You Will Do**
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
· Assesses the patient
· Plans the care of the patient
· Intervenes as appropriate
· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
