Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Special Procedures Angio team. You will provide clinical expertise in a procedural environment, supporting high-quality patient care and collaborating with the team to continuously improve outcomes.

You will assess patients, assist physicians, ensure equipment readiness, monitor during procedures and administer medications per orders, contributing to a caring, efficient patient experience.

Qualifications

• Florida Registered Nurse licensure in accordance with state regulations or valid compact licensure (active within 60 days if compact).
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, service excellence and strong interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read, comprehend instructions and follow verbal directions; basic PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care of invasive radiology patients (pre-, intra-, post-procedure).
• Assist physicians in procedures and ensure patient safety throughout.
• Identify and ensure availability of all necessary equipment; prepare room promptly.
• Monitor patients during procedures and document findings appropriately.
• Continuously assess and communicate patient condition; act when needed.
• Administer medications according to physician orders.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Special Procedures Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a procedural environment. What you will do in this role:

• You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of invasive radiology patients; pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
• You will assist physicians in procedures.
• You will identify, determine, and ensure all appropriate equipment is available for procedures. You will ensure room is set up in a timely manner.
• You will monitor patients during procedures and document appropriately.
• You will continuously assess, monitor, record and communicate patient condition and act appropriately.
• You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
