WORK SCHEDULE
- Per diem schedule / variable hours per week
- Must be available to work 10-hour shifts (7:00am-5:30pm)
- Must be available to work weekend shifts DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW RNs on the Vascular Access Team operate in a roving capacity, supporting multiple hospital units to perform dialysis care. PICC RNs are responsible for inserting Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) lines, midlines, and IVs to patients throughout our hospital. PICC RNs typically administer up to 4 PICC lines per shift. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Insert PICC lines, midlines, and IVs to a wide range of patients
- Access implanted ports
- Monitor patients with ultrasound equipment while catheters are in place
- Respond quickly to complications while catheters are inserted
- Provide personalized care with compassion and respect REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of recent inpatient hospital nursing experience
- Previous Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) experience
- Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
