Compensation: Pay Range: $27.85 - $45.30 / hour. Job Description:

Provide professional ambulatory nursing care to adult patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases. Demonstrate specialized oncology/chemotherapy knowledge and skills through formal education and experience. Utilize the nursing process—assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating—to deliver care. Coordinate activities within the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Nursing; BSN preferred. Work experience may not substitute for education.
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience preferred.
  • Currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
  • Current CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • BMTC (Bone Marrow Transplant Certification) may be acceptable for specific positions.
  • If working in the Hazelrig-Salter Radiation Oncology Center, ACLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) are also required.
