Job Description: To serve as an oncology-specific clinician and navigator within UAB Health System. To advocate for patients, families, and caregivers by providing individualized assistance. To assess physical, psychological, and social needs, and serve as a liaison with the care team. To educate and provide resources to facilitate timely access to care, promote preventive services, and support patient self-management for informed decision-making.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and three (3) years of related experience required. Oncology nursing experience preferred. Current RN license or eligibility in Alabama required. CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification required within 18 months. Oncology Nurse Navigator (ONN) certification required within three years.
