PURPOSE:
The RN Supervisor is responsible for nursing services delivered to residents, providing direct care, administering treatments and medications, organizing and distributing daily assignments to staff, and supervising care to ensure adherence to resident assessments and care plans. Ensures compliance with all care flow procedures.
DUTIES:
- Apply geriatric and chronic care nursing principles, standards, and individual resident needs.
- Conduct compliance rounds at the beginning and end of each shift to monitor resident status, verify information, and assign staff.
- Monitor care delivery to meet resident needs and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Demonstrate competency in clinical skills and data collection related to residents’ physical, behavioral, and functional status.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting care in nursing facilities.
- Interpret and enforce facility policies and procedures among staff.
- Organize, motivate, and interact effectively with staff, residents, families, and other stakeholders.
- Uphold the facility’s mission, respect residents' rights, and maintain confidentiality.
- Take responsibility for nursing service quality and compliance.
- Provide direct care, administer treatments and medications, and assign daily tasks.
- Supervise staff and make decisions aligned with facility policies.
- Follow the “Flow of Care” protocol.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Must have at least one year of LTC nursing management experience and an NJ RN license.
