Overview

Full‑time, regular, inpatient Registered Nurse—night shift at Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC), Monday–Friday nights, every other weekend and holiday. Minimum pay $40.55 per hour with up to $26,000 hiring incentive and shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with state standards and unit policy.
• Provide direct care including treatments, medications, diagnostics, and patient teaching.
• Complete assessments as required by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
• Formulate, coordinate, and implement care plans, including education and discharge planning.
• Evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, revise plans based on patient response.
• Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary team.
• Assign and reassign tasks; delegate based on skill, expertise, and acuity.
• Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures for equipment and care issues.
• Participate in unit-based decision making for evidence‑based practice and quality/safety initiatives.
• Support Magnet mission goals and unit and organizational metrics.
