Provide professional nursing care within Borgess Medical Center. Practice involves applying specialized knowledge and skills from biological, physical, and behavioral sciences to care, treatment, counseling, and health teaching of individuals experiencing health changes or requiring health maintenance, illness management, or disability support. Follow standards set by the American Nurses Association. Recognize each patient as an individual with rights to quality care, mutual goal setting, and privacy. Use the nursing process to promote, maintain, and restore health, considering growth and development across the lifespan. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to identify goals based on assessments and diagnoses. Diagnose, treat, evaluate responses, and revise care plans as needed. Monitor for complications, notify physicians, and document appropriately. Manage pain assessment and treatment following policies. Delegate tasks based on clinical judgment and staff skills.
