Sanford Health is hiring Registered Nurses to join a 43-bed unit delivering patient-focused care across endocrinology, metabolic, GI, and telemetry services.

RNs will utilize full nursing processes to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care for diverse patient populations, from adolescents to older adults.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.
• Unencumbered RN license is required and multistate licensure allowed if applicable.

Unit Description

This 43-bed unit delivers quality, patient-focused care for a variety of medical and surgical specialties, such as endocrinology, metabolic, gastroenterology and medical telemetry. Staff receive specialized training in urology, oncology, hematology, phase 1 clinical trials and palliative care. Nurses have the opportunity to receive additional training and support in administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Specialty certification is encouraged.

Patient Population

Patients range from adolescents to older adults.

Interdisciplinary Team

The interdisciplinary team includes specialty physicians, pharmacists, dieticians, physical therapists, case managers, social workers, pain management specialists and nurses.

Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.

Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
