RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse to work in the Med Surge Unit V - 5H at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus.

Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus is a fully accredited acute care hospital dedicated to providing the finest medical and healthcare services to residents of Ocean and Monmouth counties. An affiliate of RWJBarnabas Health, Monmouth South is a sister hospital to Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.

Monmouth South is the only hospital in the region to provide private rooms on all inpatient units, creating a healing environment. It also offers programs such as the Better Health Senior Membership Program, a state-of-the-art Geriatrics Institute, and expanded cancer services.

Located on Route 9 in Lakewood, Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus aims to help patients return to their most important activities sooner.

Qualifications:

Required:

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Preferred:

• BSN

Scheduling Requirements:

• Night shift, 36 hours per week

Essential Functions:

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, adhering to ethical standards as per the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensure safety in practice, utilizing evidence-based principles, and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Report safety issues and medical errors promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately, collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes for improvement.
• Use the nursing process to individualize care plans based on patient needs.
