Responsibilities

- Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients, consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
- Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers; identifies issues and resources.

Requirements
Meets all requirements listed in this description.
Education/Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Attend New Nurses Orientation within 30 days of hire.
- Complete organizational entry and department-specific competencies.
- Maintain annual competency requirements.
Experience
- 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
- Perinatal RN Residency or recent practice in Perinatal setting preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
- BLS required.
- RN license in state or compact.
- Current NCC C-EFM or AWHONN certification (or complete within 4 months).
- Current STABLE certification (or complete within 4 months).
- ACLS certification within 30 days (experienced) or 90 days (new graduates).
- NRP certification at hire or within specified timeframes.
