Job summary

Texas Health Ft. Worth’s Women’s Center is hiring a Part-time RN in Labor & Delivery to cover nights. The unit handles high-volume obstetric care with Level IV designation and MAGNET recognition, offering self-scheduling and growth opportunities.

Required state RN license, 1 year L&D experience, and certifications (BCLS/ACLS/NRP/NRPA/CPI). BSN preferred; CLIA regulations for foreign education apply. 24 hours/week with weekend/holiday and some call.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required
  • BSN is preferred
  • CLIAFE must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
  • One year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • 18 months or more of Labor & Delivery RN experience from a Level 3 or above maternal designated facility strongly preferred
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
  • NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required
  • CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.

Here’s What You Need
  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required
