Job summary

AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift. Eligible clinicians can earn salary increases up to 20% through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience and advancement criteria.

Requires Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred. Must hold RN license and BLS. 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred; EKG competency and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• RN license required (Florida) and BLS CPR certification.
• Associate degree in Nursing is required; BSN preferred.
• 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred (Med/Surg or PCU).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; regularly evaluate and revise plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols; monitor for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff and departments to optimize patient care and communication.
• Document patient information, care activities, and outcomes accurately in medical records.

Job Description:

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 1+ acute care hospital setting: Medsurge or PCU level [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range:

$31.85 - $52.76
