Summary of Responsibilities

The RN assesses patient health problems, develops and implements care plans, maintains medical records, administers medications, and monitors patient reactions. The RN also advises on health maintenance and disease prevention, records symptoms, and reports changes in patient conditions.

Department Description

The Pediatric Progressive Care unit is an 18-bed mixed-acuity unit serving various pediatric specialties including general pediatrics, endocrinology, infectious diseases, rheumatology, pulmonology, nephrology, and neurology.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or holds a multistate license via the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • AHA BLS certification prior to the end of orientation.
