Midland Care Connection in Topeka, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Hospice Program on a PRN basis. The role focuses on compassionate end-of-life care, pain and symptom management, and patient education in home or facility settings.

The RN will assess patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure individualized, respectful care aligned with hospice standards and family needs.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work PRN/as-needed hours.
• Strong assessment, communication and documentation skills.
• Preferred hospice or home health nursing experience.
• Experience with end-of-life care and symptom management.

Established in 1978, we offer a full continuum of care, including hospice, palliative care, home health, grief and loss counseling, and our signature PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. Hospice Program

Compassionate, nonprofit end-of-life care service designed to support individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families by focusing on comfort, dignity, and quality of life rather than curative treatment. The hospice team provides personalized pain and symptom management, emotional and spiritual support, and practical assistance wherever the patient calls home - whether that's in their own residence, a nursing facility, or at the organization's dedicated inpatient hospice house for more intensive needs. The program also extends bereavement support for families and works to help patients make the most of the time they have left by addressing physical, social, and emotional needs with sensitivity and respect.

Registered Nurse | Clinical Services

Provides as-needed skilled nursing care to support patients and families during end-of-life care. This role includes assessing patient conditions, managing pain and symptoms, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary hospice team to ensure individualized, compassionate care. The PRN RN also offers education and emotional support to patients and caregivers while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with hospice standards.
