Job Duties:

• The RN in Home Infusion provides community-based infusion nursing services as prescribed by physicians. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, and educating patients of diverse ages and backgrounds about infusion therapies and equipment.
• This is a per diem position, as needed, with typical hours from 8am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm. No weekends or holidays.
• The role requires travel to patients' homes in Luzerne County, PA.
• At least three years of RN experience is required. IV, infusion, and home health experience are helpful.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Work with referral sources, obtain necessary patient information, and initiate prescribed therapies.
• Coordinate appointments, order supplies, and communicate with departments and outside agencies.
• Develop and maintain care plans, educate patients and caregivers, and perform patient assessments.
• Prepare medications, perform venipunctures, and maintain vascular access devices.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and physicians, ensure proper documentation, and verify authorizations and labs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with protocols and standards.

Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)

Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Nursing (Required)

Certifications and Licenses: BLS Certification, RN License for Pennsylvania
