Job summary

Argan Home Care in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, North Port and Englewood, FL, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing home health team. You will deliver high-quality, personalized nursing care in patients' homes, with flexibility and independence.

The role requires an active Florida RN license, experience preferred, strong assessment and patient education skills, and the ability to manage a caseload.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license in good standing.
• Prior home health, med-surg, or community nursing experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with OASIS documentation and Medicare/Medicaid home health guidelines a plus.
• Valid Florida driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a patient caseload with minimal supervision.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans for home health patients
• Administer medications, wound care, IV therapy, and other skilled nursing treatments in the home setting
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed in coordination with the physician
• Educate patients and family members on disease management, medications, and home safety
• Accurately document patient care, clinical notes, and visit records in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including therapists, social workers, and physicians
• Respond to patient needs and changes in condition, escalating care when appropriate
