UC San Diego Health in San Diego is seeking an Infusion RN for our fast-paced outpatient infusion center. You will administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and clinical trials infusions, perform blood work, dressings, and injections, and contribute to exceptional patient outcomes.

This Infusion RN position requires excellent written/verbal communication and critical thinking skills in the delivery of oncology and non-oncology infusion therapy and related services (clinical trials, labs, dressing changes, injections, and so forth). The Infusion RN gives chemotherapy, biotherapy, clinical trials infusion, and other infusion-related services as well as blood work, dressing changes, and injections in a fast-paced outpatient infusion center setting. This position will receive training in clinical trials.
Using the nursing process, the Infusion RN ensures patient safety, symptom management, and patient/family education in a fast-paced outpatient infusion center. The Infusion RN must proactively anticipate and respond to urgent medical emergencies. Autonomous nursing care is the ability of a nurse to assess and provide nursing actions as appropriate for patient care populations based on competence, professional expertise, and knowledge. The nurse is expected to practice autonomously consistent with ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance. Independent judgment is expected to be exercised within the context of interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to patient care.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $138,330 - $193,892 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $66.25 - $92.86
