Compensation:

The Hospitalist Unit at Highlands 6 North is a new 24-bed acute care unit providing care to medical patients with diverse needs. It is fully remodeled with input from nursing staff. Located at UAB Hospital-Highlands, it combines community hospital features with advanced medical technology. UAB Hospital Medicine is a pioneer in hospitalist care in Alabama.

Utilize the nursing process to care for and counsel individuals, promoting health and preventing illness. Use critical thinking to guide data collection, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of responses to health issues. Identify patient needs per AACN Synergy Model. Delegate and coordinate nursing care efficiently, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare team members, including physicians and specialists.
Graduate from an accredited Nursing program required; Bachelor's preferred. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an RN in Alabama. BLS certification from AHA required or obtained within 30 days. ACLS and PALS may be required depending on the unit.
