Witham Health Services in Lebanon, IN seeks a part-time RN for General Duty in Obstetrics, night shift (6p–6a). You will provide professional nursing care and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support patient safety and discharge planning.

The ideal candidate holds an Indiana RN license with BLS certification; BSN is preferred. Prior OB experience and ongoing CEU commitment are valued; schedule is 24 hours per week with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
• RN license by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA) and BLS certification.
• BSN preferred.
• Additional certifications are dependent on assigned care.
• RN is responsible for continuous self-professional development by attending seminars and maintaining CEUs.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients using the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation, re-evaluation).
• Prepare patients and significant others for discharge and maintain an optimal level of health.
• Directly supervise the Licensed Practical Nurse and Nursing Assistant when applicable.
• Communicate patient needs to all disciplines involved in hospitalization as part of the multi-disciplinary Health Care Team.

Job Summary:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care for assigned patients by the use and implementation of the Nursing Process of assessment, derivation of the nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation and re-evaluation of the care by using a holistic approach. The staff nurse is also responsible for preparing the patient and significant other for obtaining and maintaining an optimal level of health, in preparation for their discharge. The Staff Nurse is also responsible for the direct supervision of the Licensed Practical Nurse and the Nursing Assistant, when applicable. The staff nurse is a contributing member to the multi-disciplinary Health Care Team and must be able to communicate the needs of the patient/significant others to all disciplines involved in the patient's hospitalization.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA) and be BLS certified.
• Additional certifications are dependent on assigned care.
• RN is responsible for continuous self-professional development by attending seminars and maintaining CEU's. The RN agrees to notify their supervisor should they need additional education pertaining to any area of their assigned duties.
