Qualifications

BayCare's staffing resource office is currently in search of experienced ER nurses who are passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community.

Position Details
  1. Location: Varies
  2. Status: Full Time - Non-Exempt
  3. Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
  4. Every other weekend requirement
  5. On Call: No
  6. Always in person
  7. Float Pay differential
Responsibilities and Skills
  1. Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
  2. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
  3. Cares for patients throughout their recovery in critical care.
  4. Monitors, records, and updates care team on patient vitals and assessments.
  5. Identifies sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
  6. Responds to medical emergencies for critical patients.
  7. Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
  8. High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient.
  9. Professional accountability and development.
Requirements
  1. RN (Registered Nurse) License
  2. Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
  3. 2 years of experience in ER in a hospital setting
  4. BLS certification from American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
  5. ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
  6. PALS certification with the American Heart Association
