Overview

RN, Registered Nurse - Emergency Room - PRN at TieTalent. The Emergency Department RN provides immediate and efficient care to patients in life-threatening situations and works in a fast-paced environment with a focus on emergency medicine, critical care, and trauma care.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation) for assigned patients.
• Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with practice level.
• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.

Qualifications

• Education/Skills: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Licenses/Registrations/Certifications: BLS required; RN license in state of employment or compact.
• Certifications: Current ACLS, PALS, TNCC required; other certifications per position requirements as applicable.
• Credentialing: All required certifications must be obtained within specified time frames; refer to facility policy for grace periods and requirements.
