Job summary

FRIO REGIONAL HOSPITAL seeks a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department for PRN coverage. Under the supervision of an Emergency Room physician, you will triage patients, obtain vital signs, perform cardiac monitoring, and administer medications and drips.

The ideal candidate holds Texas RN license, CPR certification, and ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC certifications; ER/hospital experience of one year is preferred. Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Texas.
• Current certification in CPR.
• ACLS, PALS, ENPC, AND TNCC.
• Minimum one-year experience in hospital setting/emergency room (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care in an acute care setting under an Emergency Room physician; ability to triage, obtain vital signs, perform cardiac monitoring and administer various medications and drips.
• Assure that the plan of care is carried out in a safe environment through performance and supervision of subordinate personnel.
