Job summary

White Glove Placement New York is seeking an experienced ER RN for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This 13-week, nights shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) position requires handling complex emergency cases including trauma, stroke, cardiac, and critical illnesses.

Ideal candidates hold an Active NY RN license with 1 year (2 preferred) ER experience and Epic EMR proficiency. BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, PALS/TNCC are expected, with triage and critical thinking essential.

Qualifications

• Must have valid NY RN license and 1 year in ER; 2 years preferred.
• Experience with adult emergency care, stroke, and trauma is required.
• Epic EMR experience is required; knowledge of vasopressor administration a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity care for adults in a fast-paced ER setting.
• Manage airway, CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patients as needed.
• Administer IV therapies, blood products, and central line care.
• Perform triage, critical thinking, and rapid consequence management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and ensure patient safety.

Step into a fast-paced Adult Emergency Department travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced ER RN who is confident caring for complex emergency cases, trauma, stroke, cardiac, and critically ill patients.

Position Details

• Profession: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Emergency Room / Emergency Department
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
• Location: Rochester, NY
• Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• EMR: Epic
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Requirements

• Active NY Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of required experience; 2 years preferred
• Epic experience is required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• PALS and TNCC preferred/required per specialty checklist
• Strong experience with adult emergency care
• Experience with IV therapy, blood products, central lines, phlebotomy, and IV vasopressors
• Experience managing CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patients
• Experience with stroke/CVA, neuro-trauma, TBI, spinal cord injuries, and cardiac dysrhythmias
• Emergency department experience with trauma, orthopedic injuries, overdoses, acute psychosis, suicidal patients, and emergency medications
• Strong triage and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients and float within clinical skillset
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Maximum 10 days of RTO allowed at submission
• First-time travelers are welcome
