UAB Medicine’s Emergency Department in Trussville, AL, seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver direct care and coordinate multidisciplinary treatment for patients in the ED. Shifts include full-time day, evening, and night options, with PRN rotating as needed.

You will implement care plans, monitor patient conditions, and support discharge planning while adhering to policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices. Requirements include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Alabama RN licensure.

Qualificações

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• ACLS within 180 days of hire or transfer date.
• PALS within 180 days of hire or transfer date.
• Licensed Alabama RN nurse credential before hire date.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with policies and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans; communicate patient conditions.
• Serve as coordinator of multidisciplinary care for well-coordinated treatment.
• Document physician and nursing orders; respond to changes in patient condition.
• Coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Job Description

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• PALS Provider obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of
  Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing AND professional licensure at time of hire required.
  
  • For the Freestanding Emergency Room, a minimum of one (1) year of critical care or emergency
    experience is required.
